I have know so many people who have sacrificed their personal lives for companines including my own, only to be restructured as soon as they get older and are nearing retirement.

Companies act like they are a family when they want something from you but when they let you go, they say, "it's business".

@JimboSaturn Anyone who puts their whole life into an institution which is founded on making money will be disappointed. It's so sad to watch people who have done what you have said and cannot see they are being exploited until they are useless. Realisation comes only at the point of being discarded.

@FreddieUK My wife does it all to often. My old boss worked weekends only to be fired. I warn them but they don't listen.

only after you leave

@1490wayb You always hope to be missed when you leave after doing a good job, but someone wants to described it to me as being like a stone thrown into still water. The ripples are there for a time and then it's as if it had never happened. Such as the nature of a large corporation

As I have said before; your job will be posted before your obituary is written.
