U.s. school age population? Free school meals 0-18. The cost?

There are about 73 million Americans age 0 to 18. Free lunch for those in pre k to senior year of highschool would be about 73 million meals per day. A school lunch was $1.50 when i was in highschool (2003 to 2007) what is it now (2024)?
Let's say $2.00.
So 73,000,000*$2 is $146 million a day to feed every school age child in America lunch.
Simultaneously saving every tax paying parent about $3 a day and the time making a lunch instead of packing their child's lunch daily.
So thats $73 million more to be spent in the economy (probably still on food (better food) for their kids dinner & breakfast).
So whats the probablem?
Child nutrition or war spending.
Therefore $146 million X 180 school days per year is $26.28 billion per year. About $27 billion would feed every child lunch for a year.
U.s. federal MILITARY SPENDING? (Department of Defense) in 2024? $883.7 billion authorized in 2023.
Therefore 27\884 is 3%
3% of the u.s's spending on "defense" would feed every child lunch yearly.
3 F ing percent.

It's an absolute bargain.

Plus buy the food locally and you will be supporting farmers to produce food rather than just chucking subsidy to compensate them for losses occasioned by Trump's tariff regime.

Plus children get to sit down together during the school dsy and socialise.
