Congress gets July 23rd to Sept. 1st off from work for "recess". WTF? BE AN ADULT.

It is not a real job. Therefore, if they are so entitled they should be paid the same as teachers. OR only 47\52nds (90.4%) of their salary.
A real job gets two weeks of sick time 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of personal time. Not built in 5 weeks recess with pay! Grow up America! Our government should be full time.

Well, to be fair, Mike Johnson gave them an extra week of recess this year to prevent any potential voting on releasing the Epstein files. The usual recess starts Aug 1.

BTW, Mike Johnson was for releasing the Epstein files before he was against it🤣😂

@ElwoodBlues sounds like a coverup; and mafia rule. Somebody threatened him such that it isnt being released, But still no full time employee gets 2 weeks paid leave without charging their accruals.
Also obviously a cover up. Trump is being sheilded\protected.
His royal highness mr. TRUMP needs to see some consequences.

A real job in Europe has c.30 days of paid vacation. No fixed number of “sick days” - that’s just silly since nobody can predict how much they will be ill!

@MarineBob so children are given 2 months (8 to 10 weeks) vacation for summer; to enjoy the weather and family. To experience life outside of the controlled setting that is school, to grow up and experience life. Parents and adults work YEARROUND to pay bills and raise a family. Government employees are adults and work year round earning 4 or 5 weeks of accrued leave time per year. as a government employee i was getting 2 weeks of sick time 1 week personal and 1 week vacation per year. a total of 4 weeks of accrual time a year). Politicains (especially in congress) get more paid time away from work than any other group. Are they adults? or children? Most are over retirement age, which is 65. So somethings gotta give!
The working retired are sinking America!
