LIVE LONG AND PROSPER? Daily recommended caloric intake by major country did you know?

In Europe the standard is about 2500 calories (daily). in America they push 3000 strongly.
Might you know what they recommend Anywhere else?
In China its about diversity of food groups and grams of food not calories consumed.
In Japan they recommend up to 2500 kcal but on average its about 800 kcal a day. And low calorie 370 kcal a day is recommended for weight loss.
In India 2,500 calories per day, for males; while the average adult female needs around 2,000 calories per day. Or about 32 calories per kilogram (2.205lbs) of body weight.
Wow.
Conclusion eat less and better YOU'LL LIVE LONGER.

They key is low caloric density foods (that you can eat a lot of without ingesting too many calories) as well as high protein foods (that will keep you full longer). Avoiding liquid calories is huge too. I personally try to target around 2000-2200 a day at most. Honestly the only real ‘junk’ food I have regularly is a little bit of ice cream, but I keep it in moderation.

Dipping below 1300 is considered unhealthy even on a weight loss diet. Crash diets tend not to work very well. Instead slow and steady weight loss by cutting say about 500 calories is usually sufficient then you can go back into maintenance.

Obviously this all varies based on physical activity or lifestyle but you have to find that middle ground between too much and too little food.

But your point still stands - our diets are a huge (if not the largest) factor in health and longevity!
