Goodbye penny. Hello inflation?

I agree the penny needs to go but without the 1cent piece inflation can only move in increments of 5?
Maybe its just that we dont need any MORE pennies; plenty in circulation. Also tax will need to be adjusted to only be collected such that anything less than 5 or 10 cents are not calculated.
How thats gonna work? Idk. do you?

Australia got rid of its penny (one and two cent coins) years ago. Totals are just rounded up or down. Not the slightest blip of inflation...

@walabby It’s estimated that small businesses benefit by approximately $500 per year by the rounding up.

@walabby the left just talks out the side of its head and I guess he forgot that Biden added a ton to inflation when it was below 2% when he took office and now it’s down again under Trump

@Prison1203 congress has more power than a president. The "inflation added by biden" was passed by congress? Was it biden's fault he didnt (maybe couldnt) veto it. Typically the fine print is extravagent in these kind of things. Hidden clauses last second additions (in the name of compromise) etc.

@jehova if congress has more power than the president then why does he have to sign things into law? Why can’t they just bypass him altogether with every bill?
jehova · 36-40, M
@Prison1203 they can with a 2\3rds majority? Definitely if unannimous.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@jehova it’s not often there’s a 2/3 majority
