Germans used to consume American chicken in the past and import them in masses

Eu placed tariffs on American chicken to encourage local production and consumption

Americans reacted by
placing tariffs on certain German vehicles
It was called “the chicken war “

This is still in effect even tho it’s been decades .
USA is trying to do the same again
But this time he did it on massive scale
The American consumer will definitely suffer
But if this will have more positive or negative consequences in the long run
Is something beyond my knowledge cuz economics isn’t my thing
