Venus flytraps are native only to North America


They can be transplanted and grown in other places. They tend to fare poorly in truly tropical climates but love the subtropical Carolina wetlands. That's where they are from, the Carolinas.

In light of that, I think a name change is in order. We should call them American flytraps. Maybe Trump will get on that straightaway.
