Do you dislike all Americans because of their President?

A very similar post was up for a short time yesterday before being removed for reasons only known to the poster. However, the deletion meant that some very positive comments disappeared along with an interesting sub-thread with views about why Trump was considered the lesser of two evils to some voters. I am giving a chance to those who responded to re-post or for new contributions.

Here's my answer:

No. I know of many fine Americans who have morals and integrity and who are suffering a great deal of angst an the moment as they see what's happening.

I don't hate any country just because of their president. I dont hate Korea, China, Russia, or any of the other countries that have leaders that I tend to do the side eye at their mention. A country is made up of individuals, and unfortunately some people cannot get past what they see on TV to realize that what they are being fed a microscopic controlled view. I say this as a person that has traveled extensively on an international level. Good, bad, beautiful, or ugly we are all individual and unique... Dislike is a prettier word but hate will eat you up and Media should be ashamed for fueling that. If someone hates America and has never visited, please do so legally. You will see a different picture of America than what you are fed on the news. Just be ready to see a lot of devastation right now, because the Carolinas, Tennessee, Florida were all hit with massive hurricanes that they are predicting some of those states will take decades to recover and then California is on fire as well with massive damage. We have our problems but I would rather be herecthan many other countries I have visited.

@Fungirlmmm I chose not to use the word 'hate' in the question for the reasons you give. Thanks for adding to the debate.

@FreddieUK Youre welcome. I felt like I had to point out that a lot of thd posts I have seen use the "h word" like any of us can truly control what others do. Much respect in my heart for you and others who can see beyond the hype.

@Fungirlmmm I'm considering visiting another country to test the waters and see if the people there are more understanding there than here.

@Fungirlmmm Unfortunatly SW does not help, by its tendency to use only "Hate" or "Love" on any thread-title referring to taste or opinion.
