Good Morning World!

Ya know ... People think we're not friendly here in Massachusetts. That's not actually true at all. You just need to get to know us ...

Just kidding ;)

I love Boston. I live just over the border in New Hampshire
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Cantsayno I'm in the opposite direction (Cape Cod). But yeah, Boston is cool. I do prefer Providence though.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@sarabee1995 where on Cape? I used to have a little house in Falmouth
Cantsayno · 51-55, M
@sarabee1995 I’ve never really gone to providence before.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Thrust Mid-Cape, not far from Hyannis. 🙂

@Cantsayno Oh you should! It's a very pedestrian city with tons of great places to eat. In the foodie scene it swings far above it's weight.

@sarabee1995

Ah, so you're hanging with the Kennedys 😊
Cantsayno · 51-55, M
@sarabee1995 maybe next summer
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Thrust Lol, can't even begin to count the number of times I've taken the boat out of Lewis Bay with weekend guests onboard and pointed out the Compound in Hyannisport. 🤣🤣🤣
Thrust · 56-60, M
@sarabee1995

In college a bunch of us rented a giant house on Lewis Bay for a summer. We maintained a high (or lowdown) level of debauchery.

Although nothing that you don't read about every day now
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Thrust Yes, we are invaded by college kids and Canadians every summer.

Did you wait tables / wash dishes or work the beaches?
Thrust · 56-60, M
@sarabee1995

I worked in Boston and came down weekends. Also spent a week there. The full timers were mostly bouncers

"...and pointed out the Compound in Hyannisport."

Oh, yes... the famous Kennedy compound.
And Teddy made sure its ocean view wasn't spoiled. He killed a proposed wind farm offshore from Hyannisport.

Was that wind farm ever built after Teddy's demise? 🤔
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Thinkerbell No it wasn't. Ted wasn't too good with bridges either

But he is fueling his brother's eternal flame while besotted with Chivas
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Thrust

I heard they buried a dozen cases of Chivas with Teddy. 🤭
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Thinkerbell

That's just in his liver! 😵‍💫
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Thrust

No, what's in his liver is what he already drank.

The extra dozen cases were to keep him drunk during his time in Purgatory.
Oh, wait... twelve cases wouldn't be nearly enough to see him through.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@Thinkerbell 1200 maybe
Thrust · 56-60, M
@sarabee1995

I do prefer Providence though

I ❤ Providence. Don't they have an ex-mayor doing a radio show from jail 😁
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Thinkerbell Don't get me started on the Cape Wind project. That would've been so good for the Cape. 😤

@Thrust You're talking about Buddy Cianci. Yes, he was known as the Prince of Providence and at one point was the youngest elected mayor of a major city in America (or something like that). He rebuilt the downtown area and went to federal prison for it. But he died years ago when I was still in undergrad in Providence. I'm not sure the year ... 2015 or 2016.
