@WolfGirlwh0r3 Do you have anything more to bring to this conversation?
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
@Prisoner1972 i wanted to know how it was being so close to the president
Prisoner1972 · 51-55, M
@WolfGirlwh0r3 Okay now we're getting somewhere. It's pretty cool. It was the closest I've been to any acting US President. I've been to other labor rallies. But this is the best one so far. Pres Biden was about 40 feet away.
Let's be honest. The president is an old man. Oldest in US history. When he got up on stage he was moving like an old man. But when he spoke, his age seemed to disappear. The teleprompters were in front of him. And we can see what he saw. And there was plenty of times when he veered from the teleprompters inmate impromptu comments. I don't remember what he said but it was a little joke about his age. He said something like "let's hope I make it." Then he crossed himself Catholic style. So he knows what he's up against. And he's willing to acknowledge that.
But getting back to your original question, it was an awesome experience. Because this is the only job I worked as a bargaining employee. I've had other jobs before where I had no Union protection. I'm 51 years old. A disabled USAF Veteran. I'm not so young either. I have a few things going against me employmentwise. at last I have a voice.

@Prisoner1972 That is so cool that you were so close to him. A bit of gallows humor, but close enough a misfired bullet could take you out! But really the closest ive gotten to a president was eating in a reastaurant they visited, Which was George Bush jr.

@WolfGirlwh0r3 And I live for that kind of dark humor! But they had secret service crawling around real thick. You could not swing a dead cat all the way around without hitting at least two or three secret service agents. (How's that for dark humor?)
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
@Prisoner1972 well Joe would probably feel attacked if you swung a dead cat into him
Prisoner1972 · 51-55, M
@WolfGirlwh0r3 And right you are!
