You'll know where I live and much about me when I post this picture...

BTW, Happy Labor Day!

Teachers and cops need unions because otherwise the government won't share all their 'profit' with them.

Oh wait. Governments don't make profits.
They actually don't make or sell anything.

@SteelHands Nvrmind? If you going to say "Nvrmind' then why bother posting?

In my job we still need a Union. Back in 2018 they tried to fire me on the VA Accountability Act of 2017. The purpose of that wall was to eliminate corrupt Managers from the VA. That got rid only a few managers. And several thousand line employees, like myself. Union took the VA to Federal Court. And Court found that the VA misinterpreted the law. The Court furthermore ruled that the VA asked to reinstate those unjustly terminated employees with back pay. Abuse of power happens from government agencies at every level. That abuse rolls down to line employees. That's why we need a union. That's why I pay my dues.

By the way, you're a grown man who makes a post and then says "Nvrmind" at the end. Behavior like that is typical of a teenager. So either you're lying about your age. Or you're...
Nvrmind. 😆

so how was it?
Prisoner1972 · 51-55, MVIP
@DiegoWolfe And I live for that kind of dark humor! But they had secret service crawling around real thick. You could not swing a dead cat all the way around without hitting at least two or three secret service agents. (How's that for dark humor?)

@Prisoner1972 well Joe would probably feel attacked if you swung a dead cat into him

@SandWitch And right you are. When I entered the workforce back in 1991, I worked for Busch Entertainment Corporation. They were the side of Anheuser-Busch that managed Busch Gardens, and other amusement parks. Training day one they talked about how Busch Entertainment was a non-union company. So it was ingrained into us that unions are bad. But we worked right alongside of the brewery workers of Anheuser-Busch. We shared one of the parking lots with those guys. They were making living wages. Regular workers starting out at double whatever minimum wage was back then. And I was making a little bit above minimum wage working for Busch Entertainment. They had a Union contract and we didn't. But where I work promoted a culture that we didn't need unions. I began to question that really fast. Because I knew guys who worked for Busch Entertainment for years and didn't make Jack shit. My father had a friend who was a teacher. He quit teaching to work at Anheuser-Busch. Wages were better than a teacher's wages. And they trained you how to brew beer. It didn't require a four-year degree to learn that. And that was all thanks to the union contract.
