I've lived outside of the USA all my life so maybe I've avoided all the propaganda but I often see people online calling it 'the greatest country in the world.' I think its just the biggest military in the world. I can't think of anything it does better than anywhere else in the world. Anybody who disagrees give me an example and me or somebody else in the comments can show somewhere else where its done better.

Almost every patriot thinks their country is the best but if you want something impartial you need to look at the data and then it depends on what you measure.

From my own point of view I look at which country produces the happiest citizens as a measure of the 'best' country. After all, what is the purpose of any government if it can't look after all of its own citizens and make them feel happy.

@Soph03 I guess so but there's a reason that those countries are near the top of the list. It doesn't happen by chance.

@Soph03 They have a commitment to social policies which promote a feeling of well-being amongst the whole population and they are not just looking after the interests of a very small but influential number of people whose interests are themselves.
