PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP OUR KIDS BE SAFE!!.Make a good decision next week creating good laws! God is watching how we handle this gun crisis!

1. Have a waiting period before any gun purchase please!! No counseling can help an impulsive person. People who think about things calm down after a few days. All the mass killings last weeks the men bought their guns the same day! Are you kidding me?? Please make a rule for[b] FBI fingerprintng

2. Outlaw any person with criminal history to own a gun ever please! Please make FBI fingerprinting standard before purchase!

3. No one needs to have an assault weapon! OUTLAW THEM!

4. Anyone purchasing a gun needs to take a anger management class, and have a passing grade from the teacher and a signature to discuss how to handle anger.

5.Please change the constitution, we have lost the right to bare arms! We are shameful. The world is laughing at America.

I totally agree. I am not sure how easy it is to change the constitutional rule. However we have seen enough killings recently and that's enough to realize that something is not right. My personal opinion is that guns should be prohibited and prohibited for all civilians. If we are to counter the current scenario by supplying more guns to all then that would be a total mess.

What I meant was everyone who hold the gun should be made to return the same back. Anyone who found holding the gun further should be punished.

Indeed @Carazaa . It will take some effort to pass the blanket ban however it is worth the effort. Considering the incidents that occurred last month were not the only incidents the congress need to act now. It is quite possible that a major push back will come from the arms industry.

@Bushranger Problem is that it is tough to define the threshold of reasonable restrictions. Unless there is a total ban, in spite of all the restrictions the offenders will find a way out. We need to first check the reasons why the the guns were allowed in the first place. What need to be wiped out is those reasons which made it necessary allowing people the gun ownership.

Yes @SW-User . I feel we should slowly get used to that situation (without guns). The current gun laws actually endorse something same as the survival of fittest when violence continue to increase.

@SW-User Other countries have managed to pass good firearms legislation, but I think those countries have a different mindset. But even with good legislation, criminals will still get and use firearms. But their use isn't that widespread, in my country at least.

@Bushranger There was another mass killing in a hospital yesterday. The man bought a gun one hour before he went into the hospital and shot a doctor, the receptionist, and 2 assistants. If he had to wait a few days he would have calmed down. No counseling can ever help someone who is mad and has a gun.
