I Live In The United States

Just a thought, how do you feel about removing "under God" from the pledge of allegiance, removing "in God we trust" from the money, and changing the US's motto to "E Pluribus Unum"? I like hearing different opinions on this :)

terrible Idea. USA is blessed because in God we trust.

Okay. I disagree, but I thank you for your opinion. :)

No, In God!NOT money we trust! It is a reminder to people to NOT trust in money, but in GOD

Well, that doesn't apply to people who lack a belief in God. God means nothing to them. That is why I disagree. Not everyone believes in a god and therefore shouldn't be in these types of things that should represent all Americans, it only represents the theist Americans.

We all have a god! It could be money, boys, clothes, yourself, nature, food, drugs, or something else. Be careful that it doesn't enslave you. When we love Jesus then we are a slave to him. Which frees us, to love others, and not be a slave to this world.

Now this is where things get complicated because God is difficult to define and everyone has their own definitions which can be completely different from each other. I personally don't have the same definition as you seem to have. And you seem... confused? You call money, boys, clothes, myself, nature, food, drugs, etc. a god, and becoming a slave to it is bad, yet you consider a slave to Jesus good? It sounds like you're calling God bad and Jesus good which confuses me. Also, can someone not love another, even if they don't believe in Jesus, or even heard of Jesus? Because I respectfully disagree if you think people can't love without knowing Jesus which is what you seem to be implying. But then again, we might also have different definitions of love..

What I mean by "god", is what ever you love. "Where your treasure is there your heart is also" Luke 12:34

I see. We have different definitions of god, as do many people throughout the country(and the world). Why not do away with the confusion and keep any reference to "god" out of the government completely? There is supposed to be that separation anyway.
