WOO HOOO!!!! Starmer is offering his resignation TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!

The breaking point leading to his expected exit involved several key events:

Mounting Backbench Pressure: Around 100 Labour MPs—roughly a quarter of the parliamentary party—publicly demanded his resignation or a timetable for his departure.

Cabinet Resignations: Prominent figures, including Health Secretary Wes Streeting and Defence Secretary John Healey, resigned from the cabinet, citing a lack of confidence in his leadership and policy direction.

Andy Burnham's Rise: Labour Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, secured a highly anticipated return to Westminster after a decisive by-election victory, instantly positioning himself as Starmer’s most likely successor and a catalyst for a new political direction.

Loss of Party Confidence: Faced with the threat of mass resignations and a humiliating, formally triggered leadership challenge, Starmer held talks with senior advisers, donors, and cabinet ministers, ultimately leading to an expected orderly transition of power.

Whilst the vast majority of Brits will be glad to see the back of Starmer there is the problem of who is going to replace him, namely Andy Burnham.
Burnham is a hardline socialist and ultimately for Brits it may be a case of 'better the devil you know'.
Only time will tell.

@Nimbus I'm sure you raise a valid concern.

Assuming Andy Burnham is the new PM, the first test will be does he appoint Ed Miliband as Chancellor? If so with his unrealistic green ECO targets we are due for more tax rises and further borrowing with a bottomless pit of treasury budget spent on that.

In that scenario i think i would be seeing the International Monetary Fund called into the UK for a second time in my lifetime, for a second labour administration heading toward bankrupting the UK and that would lead to cuts in public spending that way way out reach anything Starmer and Reeves originally wanted to put through.

@gandalf1957 I hear you.
I think it's inevitable that we all face further tax rises and uncertainty but I'm not sure that Miliband will be Chancellor, but then again, is there anyone in the Labour Party that would be suitable.
I'm not sure.
Roll on 2029.
