Old man shouts at clouds

Reform UK leader and part time MP for Clacton on Sea, Nigel Farage, has labelled Greater Manchester Police's decision to close an investigation into allegations of voter coercion at February's Gorton and Denton by-election as "an establishment cover-up".

Farage made the allegations after his candidate lost by more than 4,000 votes to the Green Party. Allegations of "family voting" are frequently made against voters of Asian heritage.

GMP reviewed CCTV footage and took witness statements from four volunteer observers who were unable to provide descriptions of those allegedly involved or timings. No report of illegal behaviour was made to polling station staff on election day. The investigation was closed for lack of evidence.

Losing candidate Matt Goodwin (now inevitably known as "Matt Badloser") described the campaign as "sectarian". More independently minded observers point out that victory by a white working class woman representing a party led by a gay Jewish man in a constituency with a large Muslim minority may in fact be evidence of the success of cultural assimilation in modern Britain 💖 An inconvenient fact that Farage will be keen to ignore.

I dint think many even take much notice of him or cares about his silly views. It's like he doesn't count, so why bother?

@Onthebeach That's a true reflection of my views and my friends, but I still hear and read a lot of people so disgruntled with their lives that somehow they think this shower has some answers for them. They seem to hate their own country and want to take that out on a particular, vulnerable group.
