What is behind the blind generational hatred Britain has for Russia?

It is almost built into the psyche of Britain that must do what ever it can to destroy Russia. Witness the peace talks in Washington yesterday when Starmer suggested that Britain send soldiers to be 'peace keepers'. Of course he knew full well that any such action would be seen as a provocation by Russia ending the peace treaty should there be one.

What is behind your blind support for Russia?

Trump has rolled over to Putin's demands and is apparently too weak to defend his own red line that Russia has repeatedly crossed. The European coalition has clearly stated its support for Ukraine's sovereignty and its willingness to continue defending its right to exist.

@SunshineGirl So you would rather see Ukraine completely destroyed?

@hippyjoe1955 For the third summer running Russia has failed to break the Ukrainian front line. Its budget deficit has already exceeded the target for the whole of 2025 and it is headed for recession. It is experiencing a shortage of manpower and record levels of desertion. Russia could not mount a full scale mobilisation. Until Trump came along the future was looking pretty bleak for Putin.

@SunshineGirl So you are not aware of what is going on in Ukraine nor do you understand Russian strategy. Anything else you would like to add?

@hippyjoe1955 I am well aware of your selective interpretation of Russian history.
