One of our local parliamentary candidates knocked on the door this afternoon
Quite unusual these days, but appreciated because you never learn much about the CVs of the individuals from their centrally produced campaign leaflets.
Unfortunately at that moment I had to take an important call. My 13 yo wandered into the hallway and I shot her a warning glance not to harrass the nice man and his hardworking team. Fat chance 🤦♀️ In the 3 minutes I was on the phone she managed to grill them on everything from school funding to the state of our road, and insinuated that their manifesto was a little less than honest (I wonder who she got that idea from 😁).
I hurriedly rescued the canvassers from my daughter who signed off in classic style:
"Well I can't stand here talking all day, I've got homework to finish!" 🤣🤣🤣
I almost feel I owe them my vote by way of apology ☺️
