You do whatever will buy you votes. Whenever it cannot be undone as in Brexit, you apologise for damage it has done to relations with neighbours claiming you didn't foresee the results and all is forgiven.

@helenS it has certainly become that in the US. SCOTUS decisions, e.b., Citizens United, unleashed the power of big Mooney, with no transparency.

@samueltyler2 In America, limiting campaign spending would be a good first step. It's incredible how much money is spent on buying votes.

@helenS enough to feed many third world countries. Imagine using those fund in the places people are fleeing as immigrants to the US!
