I Think Britain As A Nation Is Finished

This is happening all over the world. Extreme ideological separations are allowing people to use vitriol and sensationalism to get themselves installed into positions of enormous power that they are in no way qualified to hold. Boris Johnson, Trump, Erdogan, Modi, Bolsanaro in Brazil, many others follow this pattern. Trump and Johnson have the same problem: they simply lack the intelligence to understand the complex decisions that they need to make, and their narcissism will not allow them to accept the insight of experts. Power is shifting to powerful and cunning, if brutal, autocrats like Putin and Xi Jinping. I think we're seeing Western culture in it's death throes.
