@Gibbon there are a couple reasons. The biggest one is, Ukraine had nukes way back when, and Russia was pissed about that. So, we told Ukraine we'd defend them if they gave up their nukes. So they did. In 1994

Another reason is, it's always great to test out your weapons in someone else's war.

@Gibbon We're involved because Russia is our adversary and we do not want them to expand their influence in Europe or anywhere. We've succeeded so far at the cost of Billions of Dollars - but countless Ukrainian lives and the ruination of their country and way of life...a much larger price to pay
