Is the war in Ukraine over?

Follow the time line
German Chancellor makes a sudden very hush hush trip to Washington to meet Biden. No reporters or press conferences were held.
12 hours later the 'story' broke that Ukrainian allies had blown up Nord Stream.

How to interpret. Germany told Biden that either the war ends or Germany is out of NATO. Germany gives Biden an out. Blame some rogue element in Ukraine as an excuse to start to distance the US and NATO from Ukraine.

Watch now and see if more and more 'bad' things about Ukraine are 'uncovered'. Maybe Zelensky will be shown to be collaborating with nazis or the government of Ukraine it too corrupt and is stealing all the money and selling all the arms. We can't be sure but it appears as though the war may well be winding down and all the money and arms delivered or promised won't be going to Ukraine after all. Sadly for Ukraine the withdrawal of support will be the end of Ukraine as Russia has largely destroyed the Ukrainian Army and Airforce.

What can be said is that this war has done immense damage to the US and to NATO. Will either of them recover? Time will tell. What we do know is that Russia and China have more power and influence around the world that they ever did before the war in Ukraine.

Russia and China have more power and influence? I disagree that Russia has gained anything at all with this war except lost the respect of the entire world regardless what Ukraine has done!

@ElwoodBlues So you are not aware that those were government money grabs and now that the money is gone all those who relied on those programs will be very very disappointed. Silly government types like you never figure out that the government is not your friend. Look no farther than the vax you have had 5 times and still are not immune to the cold they call covid. You may not be immune but you shortened your life considerably. Those vaxes are deadly.
@hippyjoe1955 Where is your evidence for these outlandish claims??

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues You live in an evidence free world. However some day soon you will find that strange pain in the heart that won't go away. Or that strange spot on your skin that just keeps growing. Not wishing it upon you but knowing that you have put yourself at severe risk you should be forewarned.
Exit strategy.
Whack zelinskeyy. Blame ‘pro Russian’ group.
Blame zelinskeyy for the whole ordeal.
New Minsk agreement. No nato/Ukraine.
Russia keeps what it took.

Onto china/Taiwan WWIII
Any takers? $$
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I would not bet against you.

@BizSuitStacy Me neither. He always seems to be right every time !

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I like the idea..
I would throw into the mix that this is really about
Oil/natural gas and rare earth metals.

This one will be going on for a while
I think it's essentially been over for quite a while now. Independent journalists have been telling a very different story than the MSM since the beginning.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BizSuitStacy Very true. According to the MSM Russia should have folded like a cheap tent a year ago as Ukraine triumphantly marched into Moscow. Reality is Russia plays dirty. It is absoluting slaughtering Ukrainian soldiers with drone guided artillery and missiles. The poor Ukrainians have nowhere to hide or even take a dump. Estimates I have seen suggest a 15 to 1 kill rate. 15 Ukrainian dead for every Russian. Ukraine simply can not win this war.
@hippyjoe1955 I've heard reports of Ukraine sending in 60 year olds to fight...that equates to animals sent to slaughter.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BizSuitStacy Yes I was watching some drone footage from the Bakhmut region. It was heart wrenching seeing able bodied men just being slaughtered. They would gather for lunch and get blown to pieces. Heads blown off. Arms and legs missing. Bleeding out because no one was there to help them. Horrific scenes.

The biden crime syndicate wants you to believe that all of our woes, (supply shortages, gas prices, oil , the economy) are all tied to the ukraine and we must send then all of our money or we will go broke! 🙄
ATripToNowhere · 46-50, M
NATO and their allies are going to suffer a defeat,
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ATripToNowhere True. The only question that remains is if NATO will survive intact. Russia and its business partner China and their friends in the Middle East, Africa and South America have beaten the US like a rented mule.
revenant · F
If and when Ukraine fails , everything will be pinned on Zelinsky' mistakes. He might end up being a convenient scapegoat.

I cannot believe people will listen to that BS about some boat blowing up the pipeline.
Magnolia21 · 22-25, F
The war is over in the same way that the wednesday dance has stopped. It still happens, just no longer news-worthy.
specman · 51-55, M
Yeah I’m not sure what will happen in relationship to the Nord Stream incident.
