“We Do Not Support Taiwan Independence” – Tony Blinken Biden Administration abandons more friends

“We Do Not Support Taiwan Independence” – Tony Blinken Gives Green Light to Chicoms to Invade Taiwan

Secretary of State Tony Blinken traveled to China this past weekend to give the green light to the communist regime to invade Taiwan.

The Biden regime is destroying America from within and surrendering our principles and leadership on the international stage at the same time.

As Steve Bannon says, “Elections have consequences. Stolen elections have catastrophic consequences.”

Tony Blinken made this announcement from mainland China, “We do not support Taiwan independence.”

Abandoning frinds, allies and citizens when they need us most is kind of a theme for Biden's administration.

We REALLY need to start pushing back - firmly.

The US stopped supporting Taiwanese independence in 1970, under Nixon, when he agreed the People's Republic of China (mainland and communist), could have Taiwan's permanent seat on the UN Security Council. So what you're saying misses 53 years of history.

Since then, every US President has held to the fiction of "One China, two systems."
"We haven’t effectively done anything on the international stage (Bin Laden aside), since ww2."
NATO has been quite effective.

And the Korean War stopped the "Democratic People's Republic" of Korea from taking over South Korea.

South Korea today has a GDP that's almost the size of Russia's.

@hanktoms The Great Compromise ...

Flies in the face of what Biden and Pelosi said earlier this year about defending Taiwan. I guess they were lying. I'm shocked.

How about forming a well-regulated Militia, as demanded in the Second Amendment...? 😏
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Richard65 You are just too precious, spotted dick.

Here's the phrase and the discussion of its origins. I don't see anything about ol Spotted Dick coining the phrase...

@SumKindaMunster it's not about me actually coining the phrase, dummy. It's the fact I used it twice and then the next day SumKindaMunster uses it in a message to me for the first time in all our exchanges on SW. When I know you follow me around on here, it's just TOOOOOOOOO coincidental. You know you copied it, we both know it. This is me, laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Richard65 Well, I'm just making you aware that the phrase exists since you are confusing causation and correlation.

I have been saying for 2 1/2 years that the Biden White House would betray their promise to Taiwan.
@4meAndyou I hate to say it, but the mettle test will come for Biden ( his remarks on commitment to defend Taiwan if attacked) if and when China moves against Taiwan militarily.
4meAndyou · F
@soar2newhighs Our navy is already cruising the area. Biden already said that we would defend Taiwan...but his stupid Progressive white house cabinet will just do...whatever.
Musicman · 61-69, M
That's our Blinken. Pelosi says we'll go to war for them, but China pays better so Blinken says not today! They are on their own.
This goes back a while, but it is Biden a second time stating our ( The U.S.) commitment to defend Taiwan.[image deleted]

Really? I know budwick isn't but who is surprised Dems are ruining country?
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
@Darksideinthenight2 and it's growth rate is?
@Darksideinthenight2 is the Conomy good when people are living shorter lives?
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
@Darksideinthenight2 what's gas cost? Groceries?.
You have to ask, being Biden said twice that the U. S. Is committed to / will defend Taiwan; did Xi raise that with Blinkin and ask if that is still the status? If so I would wonder how Blinkin would have responded.
Caveat: Biden on the question replied with the remark if it was an “unprecedented attack”. I wonder if that is up there with “ minor incursion “ ?
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Inflation in the US would triple without all the cheap goods from China's slave workforce. Made in the USA carries a huge US income tax penalty, Made in China pays zero US income tax. China feeds the US welfare economy with dirty energy and slave labor. An arrangement leading to a horrible ending, much like when European countries lost their colonies.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
I expect that they will do like with Vietnam and Afghanistan. They will come to an agreement that both sides will go away and de-esculate ,, retreat, Then once the US retreats, China will rush in. Then Biden will proudly proclaim that we honorably lived up to our end of the agreement.

@jshm2
You and I both know that BIDEN is no one's "friend".
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Budwick

Now, now, Bud, let's be fair.

Biden remains friends with those who keep paying his crime family off.
SW-User
He did qualify that statement by saying as well,
We remain opposed to any unilateral changes to the status quo by either side.”
But still...he could have kept his mouth shut...
Taiwan doesn't even support Taiwan independence. They're actually for unification with mainland china.
It's definitely Washington DC that's going to make war there. You cannot stop NATO or the USA from making war everywhere. The USA is no democracy and NATO can't be influenced from outside.
akindheart · 61-69, F
I saw in the paper today that the US has pledged closer ties to Xi....WTF????
@akindheart Such pledges are often just talk. It’s common with governments.
While the U.S. pledges closer ties, the Chinese are continuing on their massive and pretty influential Belt Road Initiative.
As a nation you don’t need to wage war, but it’s a game of keeping up with other nations, and in the case of the U.S. and China, they’re ahead while we have lost focus on the geopolitical stage as our priorities are focused on issues of no consequence on the world stage.

@Darksideinthenight2 US will not defend Taiwan in case of war. We can't. We are not going to send troops in and China can easily decimate our aircraft carriers. How exactly are we going to defend Taiwan? France and Germany has also made it clear they will not recognize Taiwan. The UN doesnt. That's the position of most of the world. It would be incomprehensible to insert ourselves in a war we can't win, especially after seeing how the Russo/Ukrainian war is turning out.

Never forget that John Cena apologised to Xi over his remarks on Taiwan, a pro wrestler that bent the knee to the ccp.
@NativePortlander1970 Money talks, bullshit walks.. How many sports figures who have dealings with China lambaste their own country’s bout human rights but remain silent on China and bits human rights abuses?
@soar2newhighs I'm not really into sports, so I'm not really sure, however Cena is the one that hit the news.
