The Tosser

"The Tosser" is a statue situated beside Loch Caberdonia, celebrating the first ever Caber toss champion, Loggs A'Hoy, at the Braemar Gathering in 1832 ( The first ever Highland Games). A symbol of strength in Scotland, if you're visiting and Scot calls you a "tosser", they are complimenting your physical strength or strength of character.

Lately, I've been tossing and turning around at night but I don't think it has the same meaning, right? Although my facial expression is very similar. I wonder...

My client's son is a tossing champ at the annual Scottish games held at westbury gardens. He's won it for several years in a row

Ive been to Braemar a few times but Ive never seen that.
Only in Scotland Aye 😀. Anywhere else it has a different connotation for sure 😅

There once was a young man named Gossage,
With inordinate fondness for sausage.
But the truth, be it known,
It was JUST for his own,
Which he handled with copious tossage.
