British warships have been known to go to Black Sea. Why don't they keep out of Russian affairs?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@emiliya Because russia doesn't own the Black Sea - despite having a Black Seabed Fleet (the remnants of which are currently in hiding) 😂

@emiliya And a happy new year to you too 🙂
I am aware that British warships have recently been active in the Black Sea helping to enforce the agreement not to blockade Ukrainian food supplies.

@SunshineGirl What were they doing in the Black Sea in 2021?
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@emiliya believe it or not, the Black Sea doesn't belong to Russia. It's no different to Russian warships entering the North Sea or the English Channel. Are you ok with that?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@emiliya Fishing for anchovies.

@SunshineGirl Britain was willing to risk war with Russia by sending its warship to the Black Sea. Why don't they want friendly relations with Russia? Why do they want to keep Russia down?
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@emiliya how is that 'risking war'? Does the Black Sea belong to Russia? No, it doesn't.
emiliya · 22-25, F
@SpudMuffin This warship was sailing near Crimea. Do you accept Russian warships sailing in British waters?
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@emiliya russian warships enter the North Sea and the English Channel all the time. And Crimea is not Russia!
emiliya · 22-25, F
@SpudMuffin How do you feel about it?
More than 65% of Crimean population is Russian. Crimea was Russian for hundreds of years.

@emiliya The UK desires friendly relations with all nations. And when Russia has a legitimate government that does not behave aggressively towards our allies, interferes in our domestic elections, pursues political vendettas on our sovereign territory, and uses our property matket to launder the proceeds of crime, I am sure that friendlier relations will resume.
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@emiliya it's fine, as long as intentions are peaceful. Are Russia's intentions peaceful? 🤣
I doubt that is the case, as Russia doesn't seem able to stick to it's treaty commitments!

Are you still being told to peddle that tired old nonsense? russians treat ethnicity like a four-year old child treats everything... this is mine, and this is mine, and whatever you have is also mine, and if I was using it recently it's also mine, and this is mine, and if I might want it in the future it's also mine, and this is mine...

@newjaninev2 That's quite a striking analogy 😅
