Russian armed forces deserting the front line

To avoid becoming Ukraine cannon fodder thousands of poorly trained Russian troops continue to go awol from the front line to avoid certain death. They are begging their commanders but their commanders only see them as cannon fodder for Putins cause.

Who knows what is going on? The oligarths are making loads of money from weapons which is the only reason the US government cares. So far Ukrainians are fighting and US troops aren't having to fight for them. (Kuwait).

Classic Russian war tactic throw enough bodies at the front lines till the enemy is overwhelmed or out of resources. Might work against Ukraine but against others like the us who will just destroy ground forces once air superiority is achieved it will not work.

@Iwantout i heard they were issuing ww2 era tompsons and Chinese air rifles. For front line use. I understand Ukraine using out dated kit because they were totally unprepared for combat with anyone.
