Why does Putin poison disidents
Why use poison on disidents instead of other means of getting rid of disidents it seem avery ineffective way by Putin to rid himself of disidents.

Poison is generally seen as deeply sinister, it means there was premeditation, stealth, and a complete disinterest in fair play. The message is "mess with us and you will be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your days, and we don't have any moral qualms with getting to you however we can". It only works for power structures that openly use intimidation rather than hearts/minds as their source of power
