Was she stupid enough to bring cannabis to Russia (or did she, as a professional athlete, use it for pain) or did the Russians plant it in her luggage?

We will probably never know for sure. If she did bring it in, even for pain, it was an incredibly stupid move. On the other hand, the Russians are not known for respecting human rights or decency.
