@Dlrannie It's because Germany initiated World War Two. A wartime economy is what pulled the United States out of the Great Depression. Josef Stalin didn't begin invading other countries and start wars like Adolf Hitler did. Not until after the rise of Nazism, at least, because the USSR did invade Finland.
