Hitler turned a poverty stricken country into a place where the Germans are fed, Stalin caused famine in Russia, think about that

Yes. That's because Hitler started a war. Wartime economies usually do that. Stalin didn't initiate a war. Not until after Hitler did at least, cos there was that whole Winter War thing with Finland.

@BlueMetalChick But there was also the fact that Hitler asked Churchill for peace over 20 times, but Churchill refused and instructed his air force to specifically go after German citizens, hospitals and schools.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile ...yes, and how exactly is that related to my comment about wartime economy? I'm not sure what you're looking for here.

@BlueMetalChick She appears to be responding to "That's because Hitler started a war"?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@pianoplayingsteve Hitler did start a war. It has a profound effect on a country's economy when they begin a war, just like jumping into WWII brought the USA out of the Great Depression. The war effort drastically changed Germany's economy and ended their depression, which is what the author of the post was saying. I don't know what the hell Winston Churchill's decisions have to do with the German economy, but whatever.

@BlueMetalChick You don't know what Churchill's decision to bomb, night after night, Germany's civilian populations have to do with their economy? xD
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile The post says "Hitler turned a poverty stricken country into a place where the Germans are fed." How is Winston Churchill related to that in any way? My response was about how wartime economy often ends depressions.

@DonaldTrumpOfficial The Invasion of Poland is considered the start of the Second World War, no?

@BlueMetalChick I'd say the treaty of versailles caused ww2
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile A lot of people agree with that but the Treaty of Versailles was not an aggression that begun a war. Its effects led to it though.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DonaldTrumpOfficial Chamberlain tried that. Look what happened. Ever heard of "appeasement?"

@BlueMetalChick So, we'd agree that appeasement is pointless?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DonaldTrumpOfficial Yeah, just like Putin only wanted back what was once Russia's when he invaded Crimea. I'm not seeing your point. Are you saying that invading a sovereign nation is not an act of war?

@BlueMetalChick Well, the German minorities in Poland were being mistreated and yes he didn't want a world war, he had offered peace numerous times and frequently spoke on the importance of peace.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile Well duh, that's what allowed the Nazis to become so powerful in the first place. The other world powers decided to let Germany do its own thing for a long time, as they continued to grow bigger and stronger. By the time Britain and France and others decided they wanted to take military action, the Nazis had a huge well developed military.
cunningcrocodile · 31-35, F
@BlueMetalChick So why is it the west continues to appease Islamic terrorists?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DonaldTrumpOfficial Whether he wanted to start a world war or not is irrelevant, the decision to commit acts of war such as invading other countries drastically changes how the economy of a nation functions. Even if Hitler had invaded and reclaimed the nations that were formerly part of the German Empire without triggering a world war, it still would have helped pull Germany out of a depression.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile Hell if I know, why would I know the answer to that? I'm a Serb, for fuck's sake, my entire country hates Muslims with a passion.
cunningcrocodile · 31-35, F
@BlueMetalChick Maybe Hitler was fighting the people that are forcing us to accept such terrorism in such a double standard fashion?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@cunningcrocodile Ok what? Hitler was fighting people who want to force us to accept Muslim terrorism? What the shit? Hitler was committing terrorism. As was pretty much every country involved in WWII. Terrorism is intentional acts of violence to promote a political, religious, or social agenda. Germany, Italy, Britain, France, Russia, Japan, America, Yugoslavia...they all did it, even the fucking Finns did it in the Winter War. You think they were strictly killing only other soldiers? Bullshit, the Germans bombed London, the Brits bombed Dresden, the Japs annihilated the entirety of Nanking in China, the Americans dropped nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Russians beat and raped and murdered anyone they could get their hands on in Berlin. That's terrorism.
cunningcrocodile · 31-35, F
@BlueMetalChick Do you think Hitler would have welcomed German hating immigrants into Germany to rape native Germans?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@cunningcrocodile He'd have been greatly against that, in fact he did speak a bit against such groups promoting that.
