I've seen that from a ship. We were a little north of the equator between Okinawa Philippines Singapore Vietnam I used to think of all the stars I could see if it wasn't cloudy. Really I didn't know the clouds were part of it. I would go topside and the first five minutes you could not see your hand in front of your face after that it would be almost bright as day it seemed. You could recognize someone at the other end of the boat almost. At least know if they were marine or sailor. Nice pictures

@kentex35 Did you get a photo....because that would be amazing. I don't think anyone ever has taken a photo of the Aurora Australis north of the equator.

@KiwiBird I was talking about the Milky Way picture. Sorry
kentex35 · 100+, M
@KiwiBird I have never seen the northern lights or southern

@kentex35 Yeah that picture has both the milky way and the lights, and I did think that might be what you meant.😁

@kentex35 No Jacinta Arden resigned as PM and will not be standing again. Had nothing left to give.
She resigned in January and there are elections in October. Like all Covid governments will probably get voted out. If Trump survives the current prosecution attempt he will probably win the '24 election. God help America.

@KiwiBird thank you your prayers are needed. And appreciated. You've heard the phrase is harder to see yourself through someone else's eyes. Most Americans have never been outside the continental US and probably could not see the difference between themselves and the people of the country they visit in any clear way. Some countries I've been to showed me what real poverty is. I was raised by a single parent with my brother, same dad and he helped her move us in a government housing projects before he left us and moved to Miami and eventually LA. I've been to places where his stood on poles because of monsoon season and heavy card board made up a big portion of their walls thatched roof. Loved of the jungle. I think me and my buddy were the first blond and redheaded person they ever saw
I don't think they saw themselves as poor neither did i8 just knew we didn't have as much. We were delivering hearing oil by the 55 gallon barrel from a helicopter that just landed in the downtown of their village. No electrical. No no sorry my I was just saying that Jacinta came o off as someone that cared and made intelligent decisions. Of course everyone looked good during the Trump years even though he was out for himself not the corporations as most Republicans are. Anyway how you had a good weekend

@kentex35 Jacinta was a very caring person and LEADER. It just seems that every government in most developed countries over COVID lost at the next election. Didn’t seem to matter which side of politics either. Not in a position to comment on the US as have not spent much time there and mainly on the East Coast and one trip to Alaska. I have seen many villages throughout Asia and yes they seem to lead rich lives.
