Fries being the first to be killed is actually based

But how the heck could you keep crocchette (fried mashed potatoes) over all the others that came next??

Especially fried mozzarella, ffs

@Elessar yeah i want mozzerlla sticks. Had some veggie alfredo with a slice of grilled chicken on top from my sisters restuarant yesterday. And two garlic toasts

@pride49 Those mozzarella in carrozza are >> mozzarella stick

Conceptually they're similar but they're bigger, they have more and softer "bread" around iirc and either ham or anchovies in the filling

Arancini beat them all tho

@Elessar stares at random italian words like 😳 wut? xD ill be going to Andornettos on Tuesday. Maybe ill get something different. .. Hopefully they dont put a bucketload of mozzerella on the food like usual. Too much can be too much

@pride49 Arancine are little balls (or cones, depending on the city) of saffron rice, with a meat sauce inner core, cheese (I guess still mozzarella), peas and then fried. I'm a barbaric northman so I can't give you the exact recipe, nor have any hope of making them as the Sicilian gods intended.

And agreed yeah, it's good in normal quantities, not exaggerated ones

@Elessar looks good. I could eat i crapton of melted mozzerlla. But at this restuarant they give you a huge salad thats 70 percent mozzella cheese xD also.

@pride49 Salads should be like 85% salad, 10% cherry tomatoes, 5% cheese (I prefer harder cheeses than raw mozzarella in salads tbfh, generally Asiago)

@Elessar i remember when i was a prep cook this guy always got a small salad only iceberg lettuce and exactly 12 cherry tomatoes, no dressing every day. Speaking of lettuce i absolutley hate that thin lettuce that tastes like grass. Im all about texture with food. Anything that tastes like overdone green beans or that stringy bullcrap in celery i cant stand.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@pride49 I tend to prefer actually that salad with the softer, greener and less white leaf (basically the opposite of iceberg), with olive oil, salt and a little bit of black pepper, cherry tomatoes and cheese it tastes great.

Celery agreed about the strings, but I pull those and eat it regardless (w/ mustard, olive oil, black pepper, salt, lemon), along with fennel, carrots and raw bell peppers.

@pride49 I can make a good chef's salad. Lots of baccon, at least two boiled eggs. Any letus but iceburg, a few cherry tomatoes, some avocado slices. Any good dressing works, blue cheese, ranch, thousand island, even vinegarette if that's your thIng. Top it off with some extra sharp cheddar.
