The relationship with the right wing, Jews, and Israel is paradoxical.

The right wing loves Israel because of biblical prophecy and they like how Israel denies human rights to Muslims, but the White Nationalist wing is anti-Semitic, believes in Jewish conspiracies and space lasers, and are holocaust deniers. However, they also hate Muslims, but are anti-Zionist. They kind of look away at Jarrod and Ivanka.

Leftists on the other hand are usually anti-Zionist, advocate for human rights of Muslims, and used to like Seinfeld and Woody Allen.

It would be enlightening to see where, in theory or in practice, the state of Israel denies human rights to members of any faith, including the followers of Islam. There are a few Palestinians they don't like, mainly because they want to wipe the state of Israel off the map. But that is not because of their religion. It is because of their murderous malevolence.

@MethDozer First of all, you should learn how to spell. Secondly, you should take a course in COMPREHENSION 101. My comment was on the ludicrous suggestion that Israel denies human rights based on a person's religion. In reality it is undeniable that Israel is the only country in what may be loosely defined as "the middle east" that does not abrogate the human rights of anyone based on their religious beliefs. Your risibly inappropriate comment refers to the political situation, and if a small section of the Palestinian population keep twisting the tiger's tail, they must face the consequences of their idiocy.

@ArthurP My comment us not inappropriate, it is fact. Isreal is the agreassor, not the Palestinians having their home stolen ftom them and being forced into second class citizenry. No amount of lingual gymnastics is going to change that Israel is a racist apartheid state. They are no Benevolent victim by any stretch of a moral imagination.

@ArthurP As predicted you refuse to answer my question or look at any evidence. Settlements don’t have anything to do with security, even taking your silly premise into account. Hamas is not even in the West Bank, you human rights denying piece of shit.

You are an advocate of apartheid just like in South Africa.

I encountered a right-winger who told me he supports Israel because it will encourage Jews to leave Europe and the US (and he doesn’t really care what Israel does though his hope was that all Jews will convert to Christianity).

@SW-User yeah there is a strong current strain of Naziism and white supremecy that isn't concerend with genocide so much as it is ethnostatism. Some even go into these very strange waters of not necessarily believing in racial supremacy as a whole but this dark belief that each race should have their place where they reighln supreme and only focus on their own races advancement.

It's troubling because in a way it makes it more palatable to the vulnerable minded.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@MethDozer Ethnostatism is cleaned up white supremacy, and it's absurd because the idea of races are silly to begin with, and are all mixed up, and it's impossible to do. "Go back to Africa" is not quite an enlightened statement.

@Fukfacewillie totally agreed

@markansas Technology and the military -- like bread and butter!
@Fukfacewillie look at what the space race got us .
While it often fueled Cold War rivalry and paranoia, the Space Race also yielded considerable benefits for human society. Space exploration required and produced rapid improvements and advances in many fields, including telecommunications, micro-technology, computer science and solar power.

@markansas 100%!
Real White Nationalists are not part of the American Right.
The Republican Fascists aren't anti-semitic. They're probably not racist at all, which is why they go back and forth with the racial talking-points.
@BohemianBabe and you are correct in that.. its just another excuse of why to hate one another.. its kinda silly and a whole lot wrong.. mark
oh you forgot to add racist to the list of homophobic. sexist and trans phobic..
@markansas TBH, I don't really think they're racist. When it comes to race, they use a lot of talking-points that contradict each other. Sometimes systemic racism doesn't exist, sometimes the Democrats are the real white supremacists. Sometimes Socialism is being promoted by BLM, other times it's promoted by "spoiled rich white kids." Sometimes non-white people need to be kept out because they vote Democrat, other times brown people are better because they have conservative values, and the real problem is those white Liberals who hate Christianity. It really just depends on who they're talking to.

So what the heck does that make me? I don't exactly love Israel, and I recognize that it was reinstated as a country because right wing Bible humpers wanted to fulfill a prophecy, but I also happen to think it's about time they got it back, after the Romans drove them out. I think of the Palestinians as not having a legitimate claim because they weren't there first.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@Northwest The Jewish lobby and Bibi saw the writing on the walls and began appealing to the right wing. I'd love if American aid was conditioned on the settlements. Will never happen.

I don't have those conversations, luckily, not sure how I would handle them.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Fukfacewillie I just really wish the Palestinians could be happy not being in possession of that particular patch of land, but unfortunately, they consider it sacred. To me, either all land is sacred or none of it is. But they want that specific piece of the Earth, and I agree that a two country solution won't work.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire I think most were fine with a two state solution. I know Israeli considered the land given to them by God, so that's pretty sacred.
