Just the latest example of the French being....French.

The French President doing what the French are famous for doing - Waving the white flag.

Just as well Australia cancelled the French Subs. They might be unwilling to support them in the event of war with China.
Macron plans to be the next Napoleon. Damn I will have to renumber my house.
I never used to believe the stereotype about French people always surrendering, and Gino never fighting but now that macron has gone to kiss the ring of the CCP. I guess I was wrong..😢

@Khenpal1 You're only opining mate , and tbh it just comes across as Francophobia.

Let's have a look at what you've said , and I'll ignore the surrender monkey nonsense that this post was ostensibly about :

"“The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the U.S. agenda and a Chinese overreaction,” he added. - He's obviously talking about Taiwan here.

"Macron on the other hand can by no means classify himself as a world leader." - except being the President of France and France being a permanent member of the Security Council , clearly bestows that standing.

"France claims to be speaking for Europe." - No it doesn't. As I explained before Ursula von der Leyden speaks for Europe.

"France doesn't have a great reputation for foreign policy." - Apart from deciding to want to play no part in the greatest foreign policy disaster in recent modern history. i.e. the Iraq War

"The French don't like the free market, don't like trading." - lol , literally the entire point of the China visit.

"The French want to make Europe into a dam that protects Europe against the rest of the world. But it's primarily France that the dam protects." - France has an independent nuclear deterrent and is the most energy independent country on the continent.

"The French look to the state, l'Etat. They want the EU to reinstate their vanishing political grip on the economy." - You'll have to elucidate that for me. I honestly have no idea what you mean.
