Many years before he became famous as Crocodile Dundee, Paul Hogan made what seems a perfectly sensible suggestion regarding Britain. The Brits should negotiate a sale of the whole place to France and /or gernany, both of who have been after the place on and off for centuries and use the proceeds to buy Tasmania from Australia. The size is comparable, The weather, though bad by Australian standards is better than what Britain gets at both ends of the scale. And you would be further away from Both Europe and America. Not to mention dealing with the Scottish problem once and for all.😷

The Germans certainly don't want Britain.
They got stung once before when the Angles and the Saxons did it.
