How many more years will it take, before China takes over the U.S.?

I believe it will be after us Boomers are all gone, and most of Gen X. The Gen Z kids will
welcome them with open arms for a while, because their basic necessities will be met.
But in time, they will realize their massive mistake, and long for the days of conservatism.

How long will it take for you to be picked up and taken to the funny farm?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@RedBaron Thank God I won't be around to see it.
RedBaron · M
@DogMan Then why are you worried?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@RedBaron I'm not worried, but young people should be. They will never fight for this
country.
BlueVeins · 22-25
China will never be able to challenge America's power at any point in the forseeable future. Our military tech is decades ahead of theirs, our economy far more robust, and our network of alliances far more stable and far-reaching. China has engineered for itself a demographic crisis so serious that it will cripple them for decades and force their entire economic output to turn inwards. Meanwhile, the US is will continue strengthening its demographic structure through immigration and capitalizing on the collective intellectual prowess and ingenuity of the world's best and brightest. Taiwan will remain a free country and America, land of the chads, will remain unchallenged as the dominant power of this Earth.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins I hope you are right, but it will depend on how Gen Z handles things
when they are in charge.
In many respects China already has. From stolen property rights, intellectual rights, given and stolen information by U.S. military personnel, having confuscius education centers for students from China studying here., and look at the large number crossing our border. Not likely that so many could leave China to come here without CCP approval. Asylum ? Not likely.
The problem is with relating to China taking us over subtly…while we’re involved in DEI, trans issues, open borders, China is facilitating it. Weakening us along with our own stupidity. It was the Russian Communists who said they’d give us the rope to hang ourselves with. No, it’s China doing it!.

@soar2newhighs belt and road initiative is just one thrust of Chinese commercial/military infiltration.
@zonavar68 I agree but it must be noted some countries involved started to realize yes China “ builds” them many things as part of their belt road initiative, but actually run what they build with minimum local national
Involvement other than at minimal positions. China is very effective. Great book is By Howard French titled “Africa, China’s second continent”. I think that’s why the U.S. military has a Central Command in Africa to off set china’s inserting itself in many African countries.
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@soar2newhighs China is a specialist at 'creeping militarisation' to perpetuate it's ideological views of socialist society.
1) People have been saying this since the Cold War. Every generation thinks China will take over America. Probably not gonna happen.

2) Zoomers are against Authoritarianism. Boomers are the ones who love dictatorships like Hungary and Russia. Trump keeps saying he wants our courts to be more like the ones in China.
Basically, we'll be safer from Authoritarianism when the Millennials and Zoomers are running the country.

@BohemianBoo China has already exceeded the US economy in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP), a fact acknowledged by many leading economists globally.

The Chinese are at the forefront of technological advancements and are making strides in military capabilities, though the likelihood of military confrontation between the US and China is remote. What currently maintains US superiority is the dominance of the dollar as the global reserve currency, but this status quo is set to change with the introduction of a new BRICS currency utilizing Blockchain technology. Over half of the world's population is already engaging in non-dollar trading. Despite the dollar's resilience, which is currently being fueled by high interest rates, there are signs of investor caution, such as the sudden surge in gold prices.
@Justice4All China also has a massive wealth gap which makes their economy unstable. Also, if China actually did try to take over America, they would have to deal with NATO.
Basically, we're safe from China as long as Biden wins in November.
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
With Trump as president it will happen any day now because Trump pretends to be an isolationist but he really loves to concept of socialism/communism and tries to mirror everything he does on the experiences of China, North Korea and other countries with very bad human rights records like Saudi Arabia.
akindheart · 61-69, F
i worried when the younger kids joined tiktok which i refused to do. they just didn't see any dangers. they have infiltrated everything we do (chinese) and have stolen our research and been caught. plus aren't we borrowing money from them to finance the debt????
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
🤔 Just curious.....is this the same demographic that spent their entire lifetime accumulating national debt which the same demographic has sold huge chunks of to China in recent times ?

If you want to point fingers and blame, it aint the young-uns.
DogMan · 61-69, M
The Biden administration has just said that we are seeing a return of the Axis powers,
and that Iran, China, Russia and North Korea are teaming up.
@DogMan I find that both interesting and doubtful. As elections loom Joe has started doing things for the appearances of doing the “right thing” such as recognizing this now “ threat” .
He’s been
Kissing the ass of Xi, Iran and Russia from oil purchases to touting The Iran nuclear deal ( having trouble getting back in) He has remained quiet on the recent NK display of missile firings.
No, he’s all about himself and his political aspirations
I served in Taiwan and if they are invaded I will 100% support Joe/administration if he stands behind his pledge to defend Taiwan if attacked. Time will tell.
@DogMan Joe’s a day late on that statement! Too many nice cream cones cause brain freeze.

No one take over USA. Neither China nor Russia. Get out of this delusion.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@Futuremirror it’s already happening! Wake up to reality
The US in no longer the number one
Futuremirror · 36-40, M
@Strictmichael75 Does it means Chinese and Russian are killing American like Zionist killing the Palestinians in their own land? Or how Iraqi, Koreans, Japanese and Afghanistan were killed in their own lands?

Wake up. This number one or number two game, isn't a war and it won't steal your jobs, neither your bread and butter. Our politicians are our worst enemies.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@Futuremirror china’s fleet is getting bigger, they have the biggest dollar reserve in cash, their presence is EVERYWHERE, Russia is busy everywhere too, so get your head out of the sand!
Trump LOVES Kim Jong Un, thinks Putin is the best, wants to be a dictator and even listens to Victor Orban and Erdogen
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Thats a fair estimate. The points to be made are that this wont be an overnight thing. Its a creeping process, and on several fronts. The $US as the reserve currency;the international debt of the US;its reliance on Chinese components to keep its remaining manufacturing going; Chinese equity in existing American businesses and line items like the price of oil, which American slowness to innovate on will remain a vulnerable chokepoint. The Chinese will pick the moment when they feel strong while the US looks vulnerable..😷
People in general are more nuanced than FOX News or MSNBC make you think.

They just aren't making as much noise as the extremists.

Rome fell for the same reasons that are going on in the US.

@orioninthenight Yeah that's what he's saying, the boomers' parents fought valiantly in WW2 against fascism.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@BlueVeins Correct, my dad fought in the mountains of Italy, was wounded twice, and
received many medals. He was always a proud conservative, along with 99% of WWII
veterans.
