@swirlie I live in Alberta. Our oil continues to flow into the US unabated. Doug Ford's cars and trucks...... Yeah not so much. Major car manufacturers are closing plants and moving them to the US. Thousands of very high paying jobs are disappearing and Doug Ford does that? How insane do you have to be?

All natural resources in Canada are owned by the Federal Government, not the Provincial government so the oil will continue to flow until Mark Carney declares otherwise.

@swirlie Not according to the constitution. The resources are owned by the provinces. Ontario's mines do not support Saskatchewan.

I am simply pointing out that when someone is pointing a gun at your head insulting the gunman is probably not a very good idea and just like that not only have the trade talks ceased Canada is now facing a further 10% increase in tariffs. Ford's bright idea doesn't seem that bright at all now.

@hippyjoe1955 If Trump took offence at someone "selectively quoting" the Bible and airing an advert with all the parts that celebrate humility and poverty and suggest that the rich will not be going to heaven, would you be ok with this being suppressed to further the trade "negotiations"?

@SunshineGirl This has nothing to do with Trump. Please get that through your thick TDS head. This has entirely to do with silly Canadians insulting Trump in order to get a better trade agreement. Insults don't work when the other guy holds all the cards. Canada can't even defend itself. I was in the supply depot at CFB Cold Lake. Sitting on the floor was a large crate saying property of US Navy. It tuned out to be a new engine for one of Canada's fighter jets. How then could it be the property of the US Navy? Canada is so screwed at the moment and silly Canadians like you who hate Trump can't figure out that the only one being hurt by Ford's insults is Canada. How many more jobs do you think we should lose? The auto plants are all shutting down which is going to destroy Ontario. Got a better plan than insulting the guy who is causing the shutdowns? Really you need to wise up.

@Rabbit420 Believe me I am no fan of Trump but Canada's leader is no better. Canada's PM was a frequent flier on the the Epstein Express. However when you are Canada and through years of neglect let yourself become completely dependent on the US it is not a good idea to insult the American you are negotiating a trade arrangement with. Canada's paedophile PM told Fatso Ford to pull the ads. Lets be honest. Canada's auto industry is being shut down by the American tariffs and that industry is mostly in Fatso Ford's province. Not a smart move at all.

@Rabbit420 Fatso Ford is the premier of Ontario. Mark Carny if the PM of Canada and the best friend of the late great Epstein. Sadly for Canada there aren't a lot of nations that want what Canada is producing beyond our gas and oil but Carny and his predecessor has shut off those taps. Canada was selling farm products to China but then the Canadian government decided to tariff Chinese autos and China retaliated by tariffing said farm products. Canada came out the loser on those tariffs as well.
