Great pics. I'm glad I don't have to dig myself out. Last time we had deepish snow in my part of England I grabbed my spade, and set to clear a path. On the second shovel full (I didn't need to count very high!) my back gave in with an excruciating stabbing pain and I was laid up for a week with strict instructions that I was never to attempt that again. 😕

@FreddieUK Oh shit. It will do that to you for sure. It's also almost cliche that older men like myself have heart attack shoveling lol
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@JimboSaturn Find a younger person to help. They'll be able to call an ambulance as well in the case of an emergency. 😄
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@FreddieUK 🤣 My daughter say "don't have a heart attack dad"

"ok, thanks for that, I'll keep that in mind" I tell her
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Brrr!

Lovely photos but I'm glad that's not normal weather where I am, in Southern England so approximately at the latitude of Labrador and Winnipeg.

Sow and ice are beautiful in the right places but must be a complete pain otherwise.

This must be true because that is the 15th house on this street like that! LOL

Keep warm.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@WillaKissing The funny thing, there are only 7 houses on my street :P
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@JimboSaturn I figured that the way they run numbering for homes. But it sounded funny to me. LOL
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Yeah I'm north of Edmonton and it's that pretty much
calicuz · 56-60, M
Beautiful!!!
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I just love the snow. ❄
I’m jealous you got more than I did
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Jenny1234 I'm sure we got the same, we are very close
It is a nice balmy -20C in Winterpeg today.
Carla · 61-69, F
Looking like my place. But, much better grooming.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Carla I used to shovel a path for my dogs but they are old and don't even bother going off the deck anymore.
Carla · 61-69, F
@JimboSaturn mine still want to go away from the house. I wish they'd go on the porch. Less trouble scooping it.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Carla So true, trudging out in snow trying to find there poo is a lot of fun!
Just a guess - was your home built in the seventies? (Angel brick was big back then)
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@rinkydinkydoink Yeppers! It is very 1970's I still have my kitchen to redo. Before the roof was brown and shutters and doors were salmon. Even the house number was orange and gold.
I'm shivering just looking at the photos
Alberta? I don't think Calgary has that much snow right now
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Justafantasy This system hit more of Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.
@JimboSaturn out west we've had cold for awhile. Couple weeks now where -20 is a high
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Justafantasy Yes, I know! I watch on the news. My teammates are from Calgary, so I like to see their weather too.
Wow thats a lot of snow!
HumanEarth · F
Looks just like Wisconsin USA
HumanEarth · F
So did we
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@HumanEarth This system came up from the States, I think much of the eastern portion of the country and the mid west got some kind of precipitation.
HumanEarth · F
I'm between lake Superior and lake Michigan

So we lake effect snow from both great lakes
Keeper · M
Hope you have a snow blower!
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Keeper I don't actually. I like the exercise. I can actually shovel faster than a snowblower but of course its a lot harder lol
Carla · 61-69, F
@JimboSaturn this stuff is so cold. Light.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Carla Ya nice light snow at least.
Wallflow3r · 26-30, F
It’s taking forever for the snow to melt 🥶
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Wallflow3r I think this year it will be end of March before we see bare ground.
