Or was he joking? From this Canadian's perspective there would be nothing stopping Trump from annexing Canada. Canada is completely dependent of the US for trade and protection. If Trump were to send in the US Rangers Canada could offer no resistance. Even the civilian population is completely disarmed.

Lol. Annexing Canada does seem like something that would appeal to Trump, but I dont see enough US support for it, at least yet.

Plus, what's in it for Trump? Ego aside, how would he monetize it? It seems more like a concept of a concept of a plan than a concept of a plan to me.

@MistyCee Well given that the US is at war in Ukraine to gain all the abundant resources there...... Canada is also a very resource rich almost unoccupied land.

@hippyjoe1955 I hear you, but right now, Canada's useful as an ally to bully. Annexing it would kill that. Maybe in a couple of years it would make more sense, or if someone paid Trump to do it.

@SpudMuffin You have no idea how bad Canada has become. It is completely defenceless. Canada recently declared martial law and the army didn't answer the call. The soldiers stayed on their bases. The government had to import 'police' from outside Canada to stop truckers from blowing their horns.
