Funny. I remember when I was a kid we went to a farm north of Fredericton on summer vacation.
They had 12-foot platforms for their clothes line so they could still use it if it snowed. The patriarch, Cecil, was 79 years old and when he got annoyed by all the winter closeness he snowshoed twenty miles to his cabin for some him-time.

@Mamapolo2016 Haha, wow! I can’t imagine drying clothes outside in winter. I’d imagine they would just freeze. 🤷🏻♀️ That’s also a lot of work for some time to himself…amazing commitment! Haha.

@WanderingThrough I always wondered about the freezing thing. I suppose it's possible to have a LOT of snow on the ground and above freezing temps.

@Mamapolo2016 I guess that’s true. The melt is very slow here, so in theory, we could be drying clothes outside within a few weeks. I have an indoor system to hang dry clothes but it’s not as fast as the sun.

nice!!! i'm on the west coast....it actually might not rain today 🤣
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
@beermeplease I went to Vancouver at the end of November. I was told it would be rainy. There was a massive snow storm that pretty much ruined the entire trip because Vancouver is (understandably) not as equipped as prairie provinces for that level of snowfall. 😂

@WanderingThrough yeah we had more snow this year than usual, but our march was extremely dry. i will say our summers are probably the best in canada. very little rain and not humid
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
@beermeplease I don’t even mind rain. I’d prefer it over snow. But that sounds like a nice summer - it’s too humid here in summer.
