Funny. I remember when I was a kid we went to a farm north of Fredericton on summer vacation.

They had 12-foot platforms for their clothes line so they could still use it if it snowed. The patriarch, Cecil, was 79 years old and when he got annoyed by all the winter closeness he snowshoed twenty miles to his cabin for some him-time.

@Mamapolo2016 Haha, wow! I can’t imagine drying clothes outside in winter. I’d imagine they would just freeze. 🤷🏻‍♀️ That’s also a lot of work for some time to himself…amazing commitment! Haha.
@WanderingThrough I always wondered about the freezing thing. I suppose it's possible to have a LOT of snow on the ground and above freezing temps.

@Mamapolo2016 I guess that’s true. The melt is very slow here, so in theory, we could be drying clothes outside within a few weeks. I have an indoor system to hang dry clothes but it’s not as fast as the sun.
