You make a strong case, Canada. 馃

I don't want to be this guy but this is making me sad.
FunlovM
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether human rights in what way really explain it to me
@Funlov Gay people and atheists. The post is obviously joking but this shit happens for real. Even in Qatar which the whole world suddenly decided to ignore their actions. It's a long story.
FunlovM
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether here is the thing not saying it鈥檚 right but 95 percent don鈥檛 care about gay or other names that they have and that鈥檚 life look at the times we are in
chrisCAM
In Canada, some people refer to that as "ethical oil"
Mstre12336-40, M
@chrisCA the hot oil process ...

@DarkHeaven indeed 馃い
australia is so green,
we shutting down all coal fired power stations and switching to wind turbines and solar.

but we sell all our coal and uranium for other countries to burn with impunity..
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It鈥檚 the money talks bullshit walks. Found that out when I visited a house of ill repute!!
FunlovM
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout yeah and you鈥檒l go broke in no time I work in the oil and gas industry in Canada. No such thing as green green energy costs, more money you know that you鈥檙e probably a smart person.
sarabee199526-30, F
Hard to argue with that!! 馃榿
NorthwestM
Canada does not need to buy oil from the Saudis, but some energy companies buy oil futures from Saudi Arabia, and end up having to exercise them, and then sell it on the Canadian market, making up 15% of Canada's imports. There's a chance some of that ends up in the US, due to the multi-national nature of these companies, but the Southern US states are not much different from Saudi Arabia, when it comes to "morality".
FunlovM
@Northwest you鈥檙e wrong I鈥檓 in the oil and gas business. You鈥檙e 15% is wrong.
FunlovM
@Northwest I have an environmental engineering degree I work for oil companies in Alberta Canada, which is the third biggest producer of oil and gas in the world so I鈥檓 telling you you鈥檙e not even close so do the research before you put our percentages

I'm real happy you have an environmental engineering degree, and all, but I would recommend you do a remedial class in English, so you could understand the difference between "your" and "you're".

I totally agree with you. One should be doing the research, before making a statement, otherwise one would look like an idiot, especially if one claims absolute knowledge of their field. You should practice what you preach. I am not an environmental engineer, working for oil companies in Alberta, but before I used the following report, from the Canadian government, as my source:

https://tinyurl.com/3n84en46

As to your claim that Alberta is the third largest producer of oil and gas in the world, I'm afraid you're wrong as well.

Let's look at oil first:

https://www.investopedia.com/investing/worlds-top-oil-producers/

And natural gas second:

So, before you make grandiose claims about your expertise, try to be in the ballpark. As it stands, you're not.

Excellent campaign strategy.
Quimliqer70-79, M
WTF??? Don鈥檛 get me wrong, I not bashing anyone for their likes, just it seems odd that all the provinces producing oil are charged a Carbon Tax, and yet Saudi鈥檚 Arabia has been exempt! I feel that鈥檚 what needs to be said!!
sarabee199526-30, F
@Quimliqer Saudi Arabia is a sovereign nation and not subject to the tax laws of other nations.
revenantF
They are closing down pipelines and importing oil. Makes total sense
Mstre12336-40, M
@revenant not quite
FunlovM
@revenant they鈥檙e not gonna close down pipelines
FunlovM
@revenant you鈥檙e from the US am I correct?
FunlovM
I鈥檓 a good old country boy from Alberta we look at things a little different up here
Mstre12336-40, M
Get oil for the lesbians bahahahaha
FunlovM
@Mstre123 not really, but OK
MrBrownstone46-50, M

Countries have their own beliefs, customs and religion. We must respect that. No other country should impose their convictions onto another country. But I do agree with you, Canadian oil all the way!! It's in our backyard and it would be way cheaper for us to buy. It's weird. Take lobster for instance. We catch them on the east coast but Japan sets the price!! I don't get it. Economics sucks big time.
@caesar7 As a consumer I have every right to not purchase things from countries that discriminate against people like me or any people for that matter. That鈥檚 not imposing my convictions. They can do what they want, but so can I by not purchasing their shit. I鈥檓 not obligated to buy from bigots, period.
