I Have Been to Another Country

1st H was Army. We spent many years in Germany. A beautiful place. A few of the apartments we were housed in had been discovered to have hidden many families From Hitler. Beware of the ones in the top floor.
Many were haunted. One rather annoying apartment had a family with two toddlers that cried most all night.
I asked the Lady if her baby was ill, as I heard her shoes tapping on the wood floor as she paced back and forth quieting her Baby. When I told her the sounds I heard she almost went White. Told me She too heard these same sounds...
We later learned they... 'Germans' were searching all the families to be removed and sent to be gassed.
So, just know that if you had thoughts of going to see Auswich It is a sad place to be. I am not Catholic, but borrowed a crucifix to hold when we toured some of the camps. I still to this day, MANY years later feel my body tingle and twist whenever the subject opens up.

My Dad in-law fought in WWII at the Battle of the Bulge and went onto the concentration camps where he helped the survivors with clothes, food and to get to where they wanted to go after they got their strength back. He had a lot of photos he took of the camps. Really scary what democrats can do to others.

@acpguy not sure what you mean whether Democrats Republics or here in britain Conservatives Labour SNP or what ever party has to do with it, But Mankindon the whole can be very Brutal to each other

@LynnUK Nazis were democrats. Kind of like the slave owners in the USA before the Civil Was were democrats. Democrats here in the USA are still like both but mot everyone realizes they are trying to control and run every one's life.

@acpguy You have distorted facts and history, to say nothing about language. Your categorization is abhorrent!

@acpguy but is it not the other way now? the south is mostly ruled by republicans these days?
acpguy · C
@newbie Did I say anything about "now"? Reading impairment is common with liberal snowflakes.

@acpguy it sounds like you have a very liberal agenda yourself. the way you look down and criticize the glorious past of the south?? 😲
acpguy · C
@newbie You must be kidding "glorious past of the south". You must be a liberal.

@acpguy have you ever been to a stately southern plantation home? if not glorious when it was well kept and in it's best condition, what would you call it then?
