Any Australian native reptile keepers actually in Australia here?

My daughter would like to get a bearded dragon (so would I) and I'm looking into the requirements of licensing, equipment/setup and ongoing care/etc. as I've never been a native animal keeper before.

Just last weekend I re-homed an adult eastern blue tongue lizard at my local scout hall that had been living under an old wheelie bin. ;-) I'm never going to take a native reptile or other native animal from it's home environment though - that's both unethical and illegal.

I'm aware of a few things already, namely the size of enclosure required (at least 120 x 60 x 60 cm) and info about setting up a proper living environment, and have costed up enclosures/bases and necessary equipment.

I have to get a license to keep any native animals so looking at requirements for that.

There is a local native reptile place that gets a lot of recommendations so will soon visit them and get more info.

As the season changes I'd say about 90% of Australians have some sort of reptile in their house they are not aware of.
