It should be noted, Rudd is returning to the Asia Society. This place deals with detailed negotiations with our largest and by far most important trading partner.. China. @KiwiBird In was in the same place before he took up the ambassadorship. Now he returns as the President of the Society. He is responsible for setting the frameword with which we deal so successfully with China.. His talent was certainly wasted on a Trump America. On the other hand, we do have a couple of former conservative PMs who cant get speaking gigs and god doesnt seem to want who could take the gig..😷
There once was an Aussie named Rudd, Who with Trump, seemed to harbor bad blood. So he quickly resigned From diplomacy's grind With the Trumpster, and made Xi his bud.
But in the first two years of Rudd's term as ambassador to the US, he had the advantage of simply dealing with a compliant autopen; that was much easier. 🤭
@Thinkerbell If you are looking for an argument, you came to the wrong person..I am sure the next ambassador, (when we decide to appoint one) will be a second tier person who will show up for the ceremonies. Thats all you need now..😷
