Tomorrow is predicted to be the hottest October day in recorded history for Sydney, Newcastle, etc. on NSW east coast

Weather records for Sydney began in 1859, and tomorrow on the NSW east coast is predicted to be the hottest October day on record with temps predicted to be close to 40 C or higher.

I'm not going to be working but I have no way to cool my house so I can only keep it closed up as long as possible once the sun comes up, use my 1 ceiling fan set on low to circulate air, and cope with the house being like an oven from mid-afternoon until midnight. Done it plenty of times before just not in October.

AC is still the old broken one I can't use that's been defective for about 2 yrs. I need a motza to get it replaced with a new modern split system.

Our summer season doesn't officially begin until December.

Much water will be drunk! I don't have any beer (can't really afford it). First world problems lol.

40C is getting up there a little. I would gladly lend you some Melbourne weather. Rain in the morning. A cold front and 100plus km winds in the afternoon..😷

Black out the windows with Aluminium foil. It'll reflect the heats rays and keep your house cooler.
