One of the most disgusting things about the election besides Clive Palmer's mini-Trumpism was the Exclusive Bretheren church cult directing members to actively take part in promoting the Liberal National Party.

The real Trump Effect.

So how exactly is Trump important in Australia?

@zonavar68 I have no idea what you mean by neo con but in all reality what is so great about the one you kept in power? More freedom? More prosperity? More peace? More tolerance? Sadly socialists are the new anti progress party.

@RunTheJulz So you don't know what neo con actually means but it sounds nasty so you are opposed to it. Kind of funny who wonderful Australia has become under its socialist party. So how many COVID jabs were you forced to take?
Trump is helping liberals all over the world get elected

Yep in the southern hemisphere many things are opposite, like the seasons.
And the bathwater drains in the opposite direction! 😸

@whowasthatmaskedman I'm in the electorate Palmer wanted most to win (Hunter) in the House of Reps and if he'd shown his Jabba the Hut face in person I would have had no problem taking aim at him. He now thinks he can get seats in the Senate.

@zonavar68 All he really wanted was to buy influence.. And the only side he had a chance with was the Libs. Looks like they are going to be think on the ground. The next few years are going to be tough for everyone. No need to make them tougher than they need to be..😷

If it is compulsory to vote in Australia, then one is also assuming that those who are forced to vote by law, are politically competent individuals in the first place, otherwise their compulsory vote amounts to nothing more than a check-mark on a voting card which they close their eyes for while choosing.

..okay, but stop and think about the entire "mandatory voting" concept itself.
What relevance does it have to FORCE someone to legally show up and cast a vote when they don't know anything about politics nor anything about the respective political parties they are suppose to vote for, nor the respective agendas in question?
