Declining birth rate

If United States is suffering a birth decline why we Cutting down so many forest and building so many new homes.

The country isn't declining in population, the birth rate declined. There's a difference. The past years have been bad for home construction causing a pent up demand. Also the loss of housing due to corporations buying them up for short term rentals has dramatically increased creating more demand in vacation destinations.

Also, a dramatic increase in uncontolled immigration served to create more demand for housing.
The birth rate of Americans may be declining, but there has been a substantial increase in foreigners into the country.

A lot of the older hones are in the wrong places. People are going to where the jobs are now. Arizona and Texas. Not detroit.

....Im told the concern is that we're living twice as long right now...so housing doesn't exist for the current 20-30 yr old population
