In the year 2000 China used 4% of the world's oil. Now 2026 it uses 25% of the world's oil... and surely more the more it develops??

They make most of the batteries in electric cars as well. Or the materials to make the batteries.

Much of the increase is to produce and ship manufacturing exports, so consumption is simply delegated from other countries. It also uses fossil fuels to develop renewable technology that is assisting the transition away from fossil fuels . .
