I think white people are “superior”, but I also think we were lucky… the Germanic tribes were fighting against the Roman empire

And these centuries of fighting is what made us so much more advanced than the rest of the world.

Is this an attempt to troll?
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@ViciDraco why would it be trolling? It’s a logical calculation of historical fact.
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Ferise1 Because trolling would be the most kind assumption to read out of the original post and your response.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@ViciDraco yes because white supremacy is such a foreign concept…ooohhh we can’t be part of that! No sir-ee! We are good folk around here…🙄
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Ferise1 Because the statement shows a lack of understanding broader history, science, and reality.

@ViciDraco okay explain
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@ViciDraco helloooo? Are you there?
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Ferise1 I am going to bed. So this is my last response. I'll assume the request for explanation is made in good faith, so here are a few very quick points.

Selection pressures on populations would require more than centuries to have a notable impact on the evolution of creatures with reproductive cycles on human timelines.

If you are speaking culturally, then that is a very subjective subject.

Irregardless of the above, warfare as a driving pressure for success would not be unique to romans vs. germanics. There have been many empires that warred against both neighboring tribes and other empires throughout human history for prolonged periods of time and throughout the world. So it's not exactly a unique use case that other peoples would lack.

@ViciDraco THATS your response??? LOL
Of course many people have had wars, but this has been the decisive one, that pushed Europe into the middle ages, another stage of war but it wouldn’t have happened without the confrontation with the Roman empire.
War has always been a gigantic propulsion of technology, just look at World War II and how the Western world has evolved since then
